About the SVI Lab
The SVI (Software, Vision and Information) Laboratory was founded in 2008 by Dr. Jeremy Bradbury, Dr. Ken Pu and Dr. Faisal Qureshi in the Faculty of Science at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. Currently the lab has 11 members, including 8 students.
The lab explores research in the following core areas:
- Software engineering with a focus on software quality assurance, empirical software engineering, concurrent and distributed software systems.
- Computer Vision with a focus on intelligent vision systems and smart camera networks.
- Information Science with a focus on human database interaction, keyword search algorithms and high performance indexing.
Additionally, members of the lab work on research problems in the intersections of the above areas. Research within the lab is conducted by the Information Systems Group, the Intelligent Systems Group and the Software Quality Research Group.
SVI research projects are primarily funded by NSERC.
